The hotel is located in a charming area, offering a unique peek into local life. It is a short distance from the subway station. The rooms are well-decorated with attention to detail. The staff are friendly and speak English well, providing excellent service to guests. The breakfast is included in the rate and is hearty with a mix of eastern and western cuisine. The rooms are equipped with modern amenities, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable stay.
The hotel may not be located in the heart of the city, making it difficult to access some popular sites.

The staff is helpful. Give advice when help is needed.
1. TV reception is good for only 2 days though I stayed for 5 days. 2. Their arrangement for guided local tour is quite expensive when compared with others. 3. Though my booking is in US dollars but they billed me in local Renmingbi and consequently I ended up paying them more.

The staff was great and I wish that we had chosen to stay there longer
They helped us buy train tickets, but told us the incorrect station to go to. Fortunately we had enough time to get to the correct station. No complaints.

The hotel staff was amazing and always went out of their way to help me. They provided insect repellant for my bug bites and complimentary fruit juice upon arrival. The room was spotlessly clean and had comfortable beds with fresh towels. Additionally, the hotel offered a great breakfast with both Chinese and Western varieties.
For me, this hotel was ideal and had no negative aspects.

I have spent my life travelling in 5 star luxury this offered a real taste of Beijing in an authentic Courtyard setting in a neighbourhood full of street food, pavement sellers and good local restaurants and without a tourist in sight. It also offered free wi-fi
Absolutely nothing, it was a great place to stay for those who are little adventurous.

Our stay was very brief, but it was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the common area very comfortable.
It was a little difficult for our cab driver to find and it was certainly tucked out of the way. I could see how some people may be unsure about staying in a hotel off a back alley, but once you are inside, it is an oasis.

I had a delightful stay at Michael's House in Beijing. The atmosphere was charming and the traditional style made me feel like I was staying in a beautiful garden. The staff, especially Joanna, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room, though small, was cozy and meticulously decorated. The comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation. The breakfast, though not outstanding, provided a good start to the day. I highly recommend this hotel for a unique and pleasant experience in Beijing.

The staff were superb and the accomodation was excellent. Much nicer to stay in an attractive traditional Hutong than a boring standard 5 star hotel. The service was personal and the rooms and public space were nicely decorated. The rooms were a decent size and clean. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Beijing who is looking for a cultural, personal experience.

This cozy hotel is perfect for a romantic escape. We loved the quiet and relaxing environment, surrounded by a beautiful courtyard with a soothing fountain and goldfish. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and offering to make us an early breakfast before our tour. The rooms had double glazed windows and doors, which gave us a cool and peaceful feeling. Plus, the price was very affordable for the quality.
Although the hotel was located in a lovely area, it was a bit far from the subway station. We had to walk for about 15-20 minutes, which wasn't enjoyable, especially with our luggage.

It's a home away from home :) Being in a country that is not that friendly (China), I didn't feel alien, rather feel so homie. And always look forward to coming home (Michael's House). It's comfortable, with friendly atmosphere.
Only the breakfast gets cold very fast, the juice was canned juices, and the butter tasted a little funny.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location was perfect for us, situated in a charming Chinese neighborhood away from the busy main streets. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to the Jishuitan metro station, making it easy for us to explore the city. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated with a lot of character, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We were impressed with the amenities provided, including ironing facilities, air conditioning, and a mini-bar. The staff at this venue were outstanding, speaking English very well and going above and beyond to assist us with every request. We especially want to commend the staff member who woke up early to prepare breakfast for us before our early morning flight. Their kindness and helpfulness made us feel like we were staying at a friend's home.
We highly recommend this hotel to others. It exceeded our expectations in every way and provided us with a luxurious and comfortable stay.

A charming hotel, with very friendly staff. Good beds and clean (bath)rooms.
Location! We were looking for a hotel in the DongCheng area. And online I understood Michael's hous is in this area. However on their local business card it says Haidian area. Even though it's on the border next to Dongcheng it is too far away from all the main attractions for a short city trip! Breakfast can easily be improved a little as well.

Delightful people - the staff were friendly and very helpful with good command of English. Wonderfully quiet, elegant courtyard to sit and relax in. Tasteful decor and music. Easy to access the metro, and thence the whole city of Beijing.
